Prestigious artisan traditions, have become industrial activities, giving birth to typical industrial areas: from the shoe factory districts, where are made the best national shoes, to the hat district that distinguish itself even for the production of refined accessories, up to the agroindustrial district, characterized by numerous wine cellars and firms linked to the production and preservation of the typical products of this land.

To do shopping in the Piceno area also means to visit the ancient artisan small shops  where it is worked the prestigious “ pottery by Ascoli”, to discover, walking to little streets, the women from Offida working outdoor the elegant “tombolo” laces ( lace pillow) or the women from Acquaviva that wave together straw baskets; it means to find out old small shops where it is still possible to buy “homemade” cheese and cured meats , made according to ancient recipies.
